Direct messaging connects you with customers for enquiries, order updates, and design discussions — the thread where relationships and commissions are built. This guide covers where messaging lives and how to use it well.
Where Messaging Lives
The Messages tab sits on your main dashboard navigation. Existing conversation threads appear there, and new conversations start when a customer taps Send a Message on your profile or a listing.
How Messaging Works Today
Messaging is text-based. When a customer messages you from a product page, the item is attached as a reference so you know exactly what they mean. File and image sharing in chat is planned for a future update.
Communication Standards You Are Held To
Respond to order-related messages and Kouture Konect communications within 12 hours. Customers judge sellers largely on response speed, and slow replies show up in reviews and rankings. Keep every agreement about price, timeline, and scope inside the platform chat — it is the written record that protects both sides.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send sketches or fabric photos in chat? Not yet — image sharing is planned for a future update. Until then, share visual references by sending design links, which customers can open in any browser.
Should I share my personal phone number or email with customers? No. Keep all communication on the platform. Off-platform contact is not covered by the platform's dispute protection and breaches the data use rules.
What if a customer is abusive in chat? Use the report option on the conversation. Reports are confidential and reviewed by the team — see Community guidelines for how enforcement works.
