Whether you are here to find the perfect piece or to put your own work in front of the world, Kouture Konect has an account type built for you. When you create an account, your choice determines which tools you get, and you can hold more than one role on a single account.
The Four Account Types
Account type | Who it is for | What you can do |
Customer | Buyers | Browse designs, fabrics, and designers; save favourites; book consultations; place ready-to-wear and custom orders; track orders; manage your wallet |
Designer | Fashion designers | Showcase your portfolio; take bookings and consultations; record client measurements; issue invoices; manage production and orders; receive payouts |
Vendor | Ready-to-wear and fabric sellers | List in-stock products for direct checkout; fulfil orders within the dispatch window; manage pickups and hub drop-offs; receive payouts |
Designer & Vendor | Both | Full access to design, invoicing, and appointment tools, plus storefront checkout and ready-to-wear fulfilment |
Choosing the Right Type
Most shoppers should pick Customer. If you design custom pieces and also sell finished items or fabrics, pick Designer & Vendor so you get both the Shop Manager and the storefront checkout flow. You do not need to decide forever — your account type can be updated by contacting support, and adding a second role does not affect your existing account or history.
What Changes Between Types
Customers see shopping tools: Home, Explore, Cart, and More. Designers and vendors see the Shop Manager, which adds Designs, Appointment, Client's Measurement, Invoice, Messages, Orders, and Wallet. The marketplace, favourites, and messaging work the same way for everyone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I pay anything to become a Designer or Vendor? There is no fee to sign up as a designer or vendor. You only pay the platform fee on completed sales, described in Platform fees: how the 84.5 / 15.5 split works.
Can one person run separate customer and seller accounts? We recommend one account with both roles. Separate accounts create duplicate identities and make order tracking harder. If you need separate accounts for a specific reason, use different email addresses.
