Designers and vendors get a different set of tools from customers, centred on the Shop Manager — your studio, showroom, and accounts desk in one. This guide covers choosing the right account type at sign-up and what to expect in your first days.
Choosing Your Account Type
At sign-up, select Designer if you create custom and made-to-order pieces, Vendor if you sell ready-to-wear items, fabrics, or accessories, or Designer & Vendor if you do both. The account type determines which tools appear in your dashboard. If you later find you need the other set of tools, contact support to add the role to your existing account.

First Steps After Registration
Complete your business profile, start KYC verification, and set your shipping or pickup address before listing anything. Customers are far more likely to order from a verified store with a complete address, because it tells them the order can actually be delivered.
The Rules You Agree To
By signing up you agree to the Kouture Konect Vendor & Designer Service Level Agreement and the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The key obligations — dispatch timelines, breach rules, and appeals — are summarised in Collection 8.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a registered business to sign up? You need documentation sufficient to pass KYC verification (see Completing your shop profile and KYC verification). If you are unsure what applies to you, contact support before applying.
Can I switch from Designer to Vendor later? You do not switch — you add the role. Contact support to add Vendor (or Designer) to your existing account; your history and wallet carry over.
Is there a listing fee? No. Listing designs and products is free. The platform earns its fee from the 15.5% deduction on completed sales.
