Every completed sale on Kouture Konect carries a platform fee — the price of reaching thousands of customers who are looking for work exactly like yours. This guide explains exactly how the split works for designers and vendors, so you can price your work with confidence.
The Split
On every completed product sale or client invoice, you keep 84.5% of the total quote. The platform deducts 15.5%, made up of three parts:
Component | Share of the total | What it covers |
Administrative fee | 7% | Account management, verification, and platform operations |
Platform commission | 4.5% | Marketplace access, listings, and discovery features |
Transaction fee | 4% | Payment processing |
A Worked Example
On a ₦100,000 order, you receive ₦84,500 and the platform deducts ₦15,500 (₦7,000 administrative, ₦4,500 commission, ₦4,000 transaction). The amounts land in your wallet automatically — no invoicing the platform is needed.
When Fees Apply
Fees apply only to completed sales. Cancelled orders, refunds, and unpaid invoices carry no fee. Fees are deducted before funds enter your wallet, so your wallet always shows the net amount.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I pay the fee on consultations? Yes — consultation and service sales follow the same split as product sales, applied to the amount you actually receive.
Is there an onboarding fee? No. Signing up and verifying as a designer or vendor is free. The only charge is the percentage fee on completed sales.
Can the platform deduct anything else from my payout? In specific cases, yes: refunds caused by your non-compliance, chargebacks attributable to your error, and platform fees. These are deducted with notice and can be disputed through the appeals process — see Repeated SLA breaches and appeals.
