Consultations vary by designer, but most style sessions on Kouture Konect follow the same arc. This guide sets expectations for your first session and what comes after, so you can walk in (virtually) prepared and walk out with a plan.
During the Session
Expect to walk through three things: your vision for the piece, your measurements, and the plan for making it. Designers typically show portfolio examples relevant to what you described, suggest fabrics and colours, and give you an honest read on what works for the occasion and your body.
After the Session
The designer will either send you an invoice for a custom order, or point you to a ready-made item if what you described already exists on the platform. Measurements taken during the session are recorded under the designer's Client's Measurement log and reused for your future orders with them.
How to Get the Most From a Session
Bring references: the share links from KA-204, photos of pieces you like, and a note on the occasion, budget range, and deadline. The more specific you are, the more accurate the designer's quote will be, and the fewer revision rounds you will need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the session in person or virtual? Consultations on Kouture Konect are virtual by default, scheduled through the in-app calendar. Designers state in their profile if they also offer in-person fittings.
Who takes my measurements? The designer records them during the session. You can also submit AI body measurement photos beforehand — see AI body measurement: quick capture vs precise capture.
What if I want a different designer than the one I consulted? You are free to book any designer. Notes from one consultation stay with that designer; you can share the same references with a new designer yourself.
